DESCRIPTION
Technical Assistance to Support the Implementation of the Education Sector Plan 2015-2020 in the Republic of Botswana Team Leader for the Education Sector Plan in Botswana Job duration 24 months Project description The aim of the contract is to support the implementation of the Education and Training Sector Strategic Plan (ETSSP) of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development and the Public Finance Management Reform Programme in the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Botswana. The contract will provide technical advisory services in the areas of education planning and management, education finance, PFM, teacher training and development, curriculum development, organizational restructuring and decentralization, national credits and qualifications framework as well as other relevant areas on a per needs basis. Job profile Qualifications and skills: Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Education or Human Resources Development Fluent in English (oral and written) Excellent communication and reporting skills Computer literacy General experience: 15 years experience in the education sector Experience of working with educational issues at a policy and strategy level Experience of SWAp and thorough understanding of aid effectiveness mechanism Specific experience 10 years experience in providing technical assistance in institutional development in the education sector *Experience of management of at least 2 development projects funded by EDF* *Experience in ACP countries* Experience as Team Leader in developing setting Experience in curriculum development and teacher training
