DESCRIPTION

 

 

EU for YOU – Information and communication country-wide campaign on EU assistance

Deadline to apply: 08 November, but the earliest the better

 

I.  Qualifications and Experience requested for the Position

 

Expert 1 - Team Leader (Cat II, 30 working days)

• Master degree in marketing, communication, journalism, social/political science, or other related social science or in its absence, general professional experience of 5 years above the minimum general professional experience requested below.

• Fluency in English

• Fluency in Macedonian will be considered an asset

• Minimum 6 years of post-graduate relevant professional experience in managing communication and information projects/campaigns

• Involvement as Team Leader in minimum 3 information or communication campaigns aimed at general public (communications, elections, public awareness campaigns, issue/policy advocacy, other) over the last 7 years.

 

Expert 2 - Campaign Expert (Category III, 60 working days)

• Master degree in marketing, communication, journalism, social/political science, or other related social science or in its absence, general professional experience of 5 years above the minimum general professional experience requested below.

• Fluency in English

• Fluency in Macedonian will be considered an asset

• Minimum 3 years of general professional experience with a marketing agency or international or public institution dealing with public awareness campaigns.

• Experience in at least 5 nation-wide public awareness campaigns in the EU and/or EU candidate countries

• Knowledge of the national context and/or experience with national campaigns of similar nature will be regarded as asset

 

II.  Description of the Assignment

Global objective

The global objective of this contract is to ensure communication about the EU and the enlargement process and raise public awareness about the EU, its values and policies.

 

Specific objectives

The specific objective of this assignment is to carry out a country-wide public awareness campaign about the EU assistance under the overall "EU for YOU" brand. The campaign should be built upon the positive marketing and campaigning approach in order to increase the outreach and impact on the general public.

 

During the assignment, due care should be applied to ensure the promotion of EC cross-cutting objectives such us environment and climate change, rights based approach, persons with disability, indigenous peoples and gender equality.

 

Requested Services

The country-wide campaigns are to be structured on three key principles aligned with HQ Strategy:

• Listening – relying on the annual Opinion Polls, Campaigns impact assessments and closely following the assessment of the outreach especially through the social networks and TV viewership ratings of EUD audio-visual productions

 

• Engaging – "Occupying Space" with Sector Campaigns, visits/events, visual images and increading presence in the social media (Thus increasing the "EU for YOU" branding; corporate image in the country). The part on engaging through the campaigns and corporate image has proven highly successful. As the corporate image grows, the further sector campaign should follow in the same manner to raise awareness among citizens.

 

• Advising – Providing support on the political and policy provisions and advise further

quality information on enlargement process and EU benefits through specific target groups – reaching our to general public. This trend should increase by 2020.
