EDF - Technical Assistance for Justice Sector Reform Programme
Position Justice Expert(s)
Description The "Jamaica Justice Sector Reform Programme" supports the justice reform implementation plan (2015-2020) which is the sector policy approved by the cabinet in 2015.
Technical assistance is to be provided to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and its sector entities involved in executing the justice reform implementation plan to transfer know-how on effective sector coordination within the scope of a budget support programme.
Requirements In close collaboration with the MoJ the expert(s) will be required to build management capacity to develop legislative policies, identify and analyze opportunities and gaps for process / policy amendment and codification of laws and penalties, and conduct review of the management of the courts towards improving effectiveness and efficiency.
