Profile: Expert I - Expert in agricultural finance (Lot 10 – ACP) Category of expert I Duration 260.00 working days
Requirements Expert I - Expert in agricultural finance (Lot 10 – ACP)
Qualifications and skills A university degree in economics, agricultural-economics, finance or a comparable qualification, or equivalent experience. Ability to work both in English and French; excellent drafting and data analysis skills.
General professional experience - Minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience with agricultural organisations, agricultural sector institutions, capacity building and support to farmer groups; - Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience related with Development Financial Institutions.
Specific professional experience - At least five (5) years' experience dealing with commodities sector and notably cocoa, coconut and/or roots/ tubers operational and thematic sectoral issues, - At least five (5) years' experience related to the design/ implementation/ monitoring of specific financial schemes (promoting leverage effects) for value chain programmes; - At least five (5) years' experience related to ACP development cooperation programmes;
EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets
