1- Profile: Team Leader, environmental Specialist Category of expert I Duration 78.00 working days
Requirements Minimum requirements - At least a Master Degree in Envrionmental Management, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Economics or related natural/social science. - Minimum of 12 years of international working experience in conduct of ESIA studies and environmental analysis of infrastructure projects. - Experience in developing and delivering training programs, assessing capacity needs and working on establishing management systems in the sector of environmental management.
Specific/Other requirements - Experience with IFC Performance Standards or equivalent international environmental and social policies. - Experience in Africa, preferably in East Africa, preferably in Uganda. - Excellent management and communication skills.
Language skills - Fluency in written and spoken English.
2 - Profile: Sociologist / social development specialist Category of expert I Duration 78.00 working days
Requirements Minimum requirements - At least Master degree in social sciences, sociology, anthropology, or equivalent. - Minimum of 12 years of relevant postgraduate experiencewith extensive experience in social impact assessment and resettlment, community participation approaches, conducting socio-economic surveys. - Experience in developing and delivering training programs, assessing capacity needs and working on establishing management systems.
Specific/Other Requirements - Experience with IFC Performance Standards or equivalent international environmental and social policies. - Preference for experience in large and complex resettlement programs realted to road projects. - Experience in Africa, preferably in East Africa, preferably in Uganda. - Experience in stakeholder engagement, consultation and participation, including grievance mechanism. - Excellent management and communication skills.
Language skills - Fluency in written and spoken English.
3- Profile: Biodiversity specialist Category of expert II Duration 9.00 working days
Requirements Minimum requirements - Master degree in Conservation and Biodiversity Management or Biological sciences, or equivalent. - Minimum 6 years of experience in natural forest management and habitat conservation, protected areas and environmental action planning in the tropics of which minimum 5 years of relevant experience with applying IFC PS6, undertaking Critical Habitat Assessments and advising on mitigation measures for biodiversity.
Specific/Others requirements - Internationally recognized for his/her knowledge in biodiversity, hace strong and proven expertise in biodiversity conservation and experience working in similar habitats in Eastern Africa, preferably in Uganda.
Language skills - Fluency in written and spoken English.
4- Profile: GIS and Data management specialist Category of expert II Duration 26.00 working days
Requirements Minimum requirements - Degree (preferably master degree) in data management or GIS related fields like geographical analysis, planning studies or equivalent - Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the design and management of relational databases and or in land-use planning and use of GIS systems.
Specific/Other requirements - Experience in data management of environment and/or social issues - Experience in GIS systems on environment and/or social issues - Experience in transfer of technology and/or trainings.
Language skilld - Fluency in written andspoken English
EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets | ||
