DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT Global objective(s): The global objective of the assignment is to provide technical assistance for the needs assessment and identification and formulation of the action " Strengthening International protection and resettlement in Argentina". Contribute to establishing cooperation with Argentina towards strengthening its capacity to implement a high standard of international protection for refugees and support its resettlement and humanitarian admission schemes through the promotion of sustainable solutions. EXPERTS TL - Project Design and Migration Specialist / Team Leader (Category I) Qualifications and skills: At least Master Degree (Academic level) in Public Administration, Social or Political Science, Law of in a field related to the scope of the assignment General professional experience: At least 12 years of professional experience in the field of Governance and Home affairs Specific professional experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in the field of migration (i.e. laws, labour, justice, international protection and resettlement, border control, fight against smuggling of trafficking or closely related areas) Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to write report in a clear and concise manner in English and Spanish Expertise in problem analysis, stakeholder's analysis and project design and logical framework Minimum 3 years of experience, in an expert/advisory function, on migration issues to and from Argentina Extensive knowledge of Argentinean migration legal framework – related institutional, legislative and regulatory environment as well as the modus operandi of the relevant institutions, both at federal and State levels Specific expertise in technical assistance, capacity development and cooperation projects Solid understanding of international standards relating to the questions on international protection and resettlement IT literate, very good data-processing knowledge, and of office automation software Experience in communication, negotiation and dialogue and high level Excellent report writing and communication skill and must be able to work effectively with government officials at senior level and civil society organizations Be familiar with gender aspects
