| Qualifications and skills Masters degree in Biology, Fisheries, Marine Resource Management or equivalent relevant to the assignment, Good knowledge of relevant Fisheries Common Policy and EU legislation related to the application of MSC and VMS systems in fisheries, Good knowledge of applied statistics, data processing and information technology, Fluent in written and spoken English Good communication and training ability Computer literate General professional experience Preferably more than 10 years working experience in the fishery sector but not less than 5 years, Preferably more than 5 years of working experience in the fishery inspection services of an EU country but not less than 3 years, Specific professional experience Have in the last 5 years at least one long term assistance in establishing capacity building on MSC system, Have preferably 3 years field experience in fisheries development programmes in the Mediterranean countries but not less than 1 year. | |
