EXPERTS PROFILE Number of requested experts per category and number of person-days: The category II experts below shall share a total of 100 person days, one category III expert (30 person-days). Profile required: 1 experts (category II, one of them being nominated by the Framework contractor as the Team Leader) with the following characteristics and expertise: • Hold a university degree in development economics, social sciences, political science, law, economics or equivalent • Min 10 years of experience in development co-operation, covering trade policy and regulatory issues, preferably with a focus one of the following issues: - Quality and Standards with focus on the Institutional aspects, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Quality Management, Technical barriers to Trade, Environmental and non-tariff barriers, other Trade Facilitation - Trade infrastructure: regulatory, legislative and institutional, including negotiation capacity building • Experience in labour laws, decent work agenda, workers' rights and gender issues; • Working experience in South Asia, preferably in Bangladesh and/or neighbouring countries, would be an advantage; • Have expertise in sector reviews/assessment, programme preparation and have detailed knowledge of the Commission's procedures (PCM, Formulation Proposal); • Have excellent English-language drafting abilities.
