Expert I - Economist/Team Leader (Lot 10 – Uganda)

 

Will lead the overall implementation of this assignment. The following eligibility requirements should be met:

 

· Relevant professional qualifications, at least at Masters Level, in Economics, International Trade, Business Administration or very closely related field.

· At least six years of in-depth experience in the area of international trade, business administration and private sector development in developing countries, preferably gained in the East African region and/or Uganda

· Demonstrated research and analytical skills in the above areas.

· Knowledge and/or experience of green economy would be an asset

· Knowledge of the EAC-EU EPA and Uganda's economic development policies/programmes would be an asset

· Excellent communicator, experienced leader and moderator.

· Excellent English writing skills.

 

 

Profile: Expert II - Trade/Business Communication Expert (Lot 10 – Uganda)

Category of expert III

Duration 60.00 working days

 

Requirements   

Expert II - Trade/Business Communication Expert (Lot 10 – Uganda)

 

Will be supporting the Team Leader especially on the aspects related to Communication and Public Awareness and the organization of the national seminars. The following eligibility requirements should be met:

 

· Relevant professional qualifications in communication, media and public relations, or closely related field

· At least three years of in-depth experience in the media and communication focusing on trade, business and/or investment, preferably gained in the East African region and/or Uganda

· Knowledge of the EAC-EU EPA and Uganda's economic development policies/programmes would be an asset

· Knowledge and/or experience of green economy would be an asset

· Effective communication and reporting skills (in English).

 

 

Profile: Expert III - Trade Facilitation/Customs Expert (Lot 10 – Uganda)

Category of expert III

Duration 65.00 working days

 

Requirements   

Expert III - Trade Facilitation/Customs Expert (Lot 10 – Uganda)

 

Will be supporting the Team Leader especially on the aspects related to Customs aspects. The following eligibility requirements should be met:

 

· Relevant professional qualifications in Economics, International Trade, Business Administration or very closely related field.

· At least three years of in-depth experience in trade facilitation and/or customs operations, preferably gained in the East African region and/or Uganda

· Knowledge of the EAC-EU EPA and Uganda's trade facilitation policies/programmes would be an asset

· Knowledge and/or experience of green economy would be an asset

· Effective communication and reporting skills (in English).

 

 

EC rules applicable to any EC assignment          

• Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR

• Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight.

• International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets
