Profile: Expert I – Team leader (Lot 10 – Georgia) Category of expert I Duration 64.00 working days
Requirements Expert I – Team leader (Lot 10 – Georgia)
The expert the team shall be competent to assess the relevance, credibility and progress in the implementation of trade and SME related policies, strategies and action plans (general condition) as well as progress and fulfilment of indicators related to trade and SME policies implementation and institutional development.
The expert shall be thoroughly acquainted with the country context, all relevant policies and documents, including AA/DCFTA, national and sectoral strategies and policy coordination arrangements. They shall have adequate educational background, working experience in the relevant areas, and knowledge about the content and procedures of the EU budget support programme.
At least master degree in law, economic or social science or, in its absence, at least 12 years' of working experience in the sectors related to the Lot 10 "Trade, Standards and Private sector";
A postgraduate degree would be a significant advantage;
Major contribution under at least three EU budget support programme reviews, preferably in trade and/or economic-related sectors; for purposes of the evaluation the Contractor shall provide a copy of one Aide Memoire (co-)drafted by the proposed expert or under her/his direct supervision and responsibility after 2011;
At least 8 years of work experience in carrying out assessments of trade policies and implementation systems in countries with economies in transitions; such experience gained in former Soviet Union republics and/or IPA countries would be an advantage;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

The expert shall be thoroughly acquainted with the country context, all relevant policies and documents, including AA/DCFTA, national and sectoral strategies and policy coordination arrangements. They shall have adequate educational background, working experience in the relevant areas, and knowledge about the content and procedures of the EU budget support programme.
At least master degree in law, economic or social science or, in its absence, at least 8 years' professional work experience in the trade and/or private sector area;
At least 6 years of work experience in carrying out assessments of trade/private sector policies, systems and procedures; such experience gained in former Soviet Union republics and/or IPA countries would be an advantage;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets |
