Profile: Expert 1: Team Leader/project coordinator Category of expert I Duration ¿
Requirements Expert 1: Team Leader/project coordinator
For the duration of the project, the team leader will be the main contact point for the contracting authority. He will coordinate the team of specific short term experts needed to carry out the requested activities. He will be responsible of the timely delivery of the required outputs.
Professional experience: Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in monitoring legal and illegal wildlife trade, and contributing to wildlife trade analyses and policies Extensive knowledge of the CITES Convention and related wildlife trade policies Proven research and writing skills as well as strong analytic skills Proven previous experience as team leader coordinating a pool of experts in research projects Strong project management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills
Education: Master Degree in wildlife monitoring, conservation and trade, environmental science and policy, or related fields.
Language skills: Fluency in English and Spanish
Profile: Expert 2 – Project Assistant Category of expert II Duration ¿
Requirements Expert 2 – Project Assistant
The Project Assistant will support the Team Leader in managing the project and provide specific expertise in his/her field of competence.
Professional experience: Previous experience (at least 3 years) in international cooperation projects in the field of environment and biodiversity Proven research and writing skills as well as strong analytic skills Excellent communication and presentation skills
Education: University Degree in wildlife monitoring, conservation and trade, environmental science and policy, or related fields.
Language skills: Fluency in English and Spanish
EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets | ||
