DESCRIPTION
Profile: Expert 1 – Local Content Expert Category of expert I Duration 154.00 working days Requirements Expert 1 – Local Content Expert Will support NEEC in the implementation of this assignment and more specifically on the design of the training course and the situational analysis. Following eligibility requirements for the Consultant should be met: • Relevant professional qualifications (at least at MA level) economics, business administration or other relevant topic; or in its absence, equivalent professional experience corresponding to the relevant category of expert under the FWC. • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in relevant areas but special reference to Local Content policies and programmes (experience in an African context would be an advantage). • Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating/implementing economic development projects, including SME development projects, preferably in extractive industries. • Experience working with procurement processes, localisation of value/supply chains, private sector/enterprise development. • Good knowledge and working experience of Local Content Policy in developing countries (experience in an African context would be an advantage). • Good experience in designing and implementing trainings and workshops. • Strong analytical, technical writing, public presentation and communication skills. • Excellent English writing skills. EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets
