DESCRIPTION
Position: Team Leader Background: With the aim of increasing mutual understanding and awareness of the EU, supporting key European principles and policies through intercultural dialogue and people-to-people exchanges, the EU Delegation to Mexico envisages carrying out public diplomacy activities for Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama. The activities will focus on the EU's role and relevant policies in view of engaging with, inter alia, the general public, as well as government policymakers and opinion leaders. Candidate's profile: Qualifications and skills · Master degree or equivalent in a discipline related to the contract (public relations, public diplomacy, communication, management, etc.); · Previous experience in at least one project in the field of European affairs or international affairs; · Fluency in Spanish and English; · Previous experience as a team leader; · Proven knowledge of EU institutions and policies. General professional experience · At least 5 years of experience in one of the following fields: public diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, public relations, communication and/or media event management, marketing; · A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in international project management. Specific professional experience · At least 2 years of professional experience in working at international level in the field of Public diplomacy in external relations · Minimum 2 years of experience in working with EU Member States, third countries` governments and / or international organizations · Previous professional experience in working on EU related matters · Previous working experience in Mexico and /or Central America; · Previous experience in working in the public diplomacy sector with networks of think-tanks, academia, research institutes is an asset; · Participation in at least one EU project, preferably EU funded TA projects of similar size and / or contractual value (1, 2 Mio. EUR) would be advantage.
