| EXPERT 1 Team Leader Category Senior expert (at least 10 years of professional experience) Duration 120 working days Requirements Qualifications and skills • Advanced university degree in Law (minimum LLM or equivalent), with a specialization in trade law • Excellent knowledge of English and Portuguese. Knowledge of Tetum, French and Bahasa would be an asset. General professional experience • At least 15 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 10 years in a senior position involved in public administration and/or legislative drafting Specific professional experience • Relevant work experience in Timor-Leste • Demonstrated skills in senior advisory work at a ministerial level • Demonstrated experience in legislative drafting • Expertise in trade law, IP law and/or competition law would be an asset • Experience in designing private sector and export support measures/regulations EXPERT 2 Trade Expert Category Senior expert (at least 10 years of professional experience) Duration 100 working days Requirements Qualifications and skills • University degree or equivalent professional courses in a trade (law) related field or equivalent • Excellent knowledge of English and Portuguese; • Knowledge of Tetum will constitute an asset; • Excellent reporting skills • Excellent skills to organise meetings and stakeholder consultations General professional experience • At least 8 years of experience in a trade-related field, in administration or legislation Specific professional experience • Knowledge of investment promotion and competition law • Experience with private sector development and export development interventions • Experience and relevant network in Timor-Leste EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight ticket | ||
