| EXPERT 1 Expert-coordinator Category Senior expert (at least 10 years of professional experience) Duration 36 months (long term contract) Requirements Qualifications and skills • The expert should be an economist or a lawyer (or other relevant degree) with an appropriate post- graduate qualification • Knowledge of PCM • Previous experience in managing teams (PMU or similar) • Have a high level of proficiency/fluency in spoken English (oral and writing). • Knowledge of French would be considered as an advantage General professional experience • He/she should have at least 15 years of professional experience in the context of Private Sector Development • Directly involved in programme management for SMEs • A working experience in an intermediary organization (i.e. Chamber of Commerce) is a plus. Specific professional experience • He/she should have at least 5 years of experience on conception, implementation and monitoring of technical assistance • Previous experience in Africa and more specifically in the SADC region is required • A working experience with the SADC organization would be a must. EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc.) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets | ||
