Dates From: 27/07/2011 To: 31/01/2012 Eligible Nationalities All nationalities Deadline for submissions of CV for internal consortium voting 20/07/2011 12:00:00 Profile: Senior Expert Categoy of expert Senior (at least 10 years of experience) Duration 40.00 working days Requirements Senior Expert •ï€ Expert in business incubators •ï€ Senior Expert with at least 10 years of professional experience •ï€ The consultant must have a university degree in economics, engineering or other related discipline •ï€ Strong and specific experience of at least 10 years in private sector development •ï€ Knowledge of social, economic and financial considerations associated with the marketing of business development services in developing countries. •ï€ At least 5 years of professional experience in developing countries, preferably in design development and implementation of projects in business development services and competitiveness. •ï€ Sound expertise in issues related to setting up business incubators, preferably gained in a emerging/developing country environment •ï€ Having drafted at least two feasibility and/or business plans for business incubators •ï€ Having worked directly in the private sector (apart from consultancy services) is an asset •ï€ Working experience in Southern Africa and in particular Mozambique would be an asset. •ï€ to work under this assignment, both orally and in writing, in Portuguese and English. Profile: Junior Expert Categoy of expert Junior (at least 3 years of experience) Duration 40.00 working days Requirements Junior Expert •ï€ Junior Expert with at least 3 years of professional experience •ï€ The consultant must have a university degree in economics, law, engineering or other related discipline •ï€ Strong and specific experience of at least 3 years in private sector development •ï€ Knowledge of social, economic and financial considerations associated with the marketing of business development services in developing countries. •ï€ Sound expertise in carrying out market assessment and business surveys •ï€ Experience in preparing business plans would be an asset •ï€ Experience with the legal framework in Mozambique for setting up enterprises and/or associations would be an asset (corporate law, labour law etc.) •ï€ Having worked directly in the private sector (apart from consultancy services) would be an asset •ï€ Working experience in Mozambique required. •ï€ Capacity to work under this assignment, both orally and in writing, in Portuguese and English •ï€ Knowledge of at least one local language will be considered an asset Specific experience: very good knowledge of Mozambique required. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required. EC rules applicable to any EC assignment • Working days are from Monday to Friday, if not indicated otherwise in the ToR • Per diem covers all expenses of the expert (local transport, hotel, meals, telecom, etc) and it is only paid if the expert stay overnight. • International travel: the EC only reimburse economy class flight tickets | ||
