DESCRIPTION We are looking for the following long term international experts for a TA project to be implemented in Indonesia and funded by the IBRD. Experts with Indonesian working experience are preferred. 1. Team Leader/Dam Experts A university graduate in civil engineering with about 20 years experience, posses' strong background of dam engineering, and 10 years extensive experience in planning, investigation and design and management of various dam types construction. He/she should have least at 3 years experience working in project of a similar in nature with the DOISP and in Indonesia or in countries of a similar in nature with Indonesia (tropical monsoon climate and developing country). He/she should have about 5 years experience as team leader of a Consulting Services Team consisting of internationally and nationally experience specialist/experts, be capable in concise report writing and be able to work well with the project-related government institutions and be familiar to work with computer software application relevant to his/her tasks. His/her working experience in the World Bank or other multilateral lending agency-assisted projects in Indonesia and ability to understand and speak Bahasa Indonesia is preferable. He/she should register as Professional Engineer. 2. Dam Design Engineer A university graduate in civil engineering with about 15 year experience, posses' strong background of dam engineering and extensive experience in conducting survey and investigation, and hydraulic and structural design of dams. His/her work experience in various types of dam design is extremely important for this assignment. He/she should have of about 5 years work experience in dam projects in Indonesia or in countries of a similar in nature with Indonesia (tropical monsoon climate and developing country) and be familiar to work with computer software application relevant to his/her tasks. Ability to understand and speak Bahasa Indonesia is preferable. He/she should have registered as Professional Engineer. He/she should register as Professional Engineer. 3. Hydrologist A university graduate in civil or water resources engineering with about 15 years work experience, possess strong background of dam engineering and extensive experience in dam-related hydrological studies/ assessments. He/she should have at least 5 years extensive work experience in conducting hydrological studies and flood assessment in relation with dam design and reservoir operation in Indonesia or in countries of a similar in nature with Indonesia (tropical monsoon climate and developing country) and shall be familiar to work with computer software application relevant to his/her tasks. His/her extensive knowledge in sediment transport assessment and in planning and design of the river basin flood warning system is important for this assignment. Ability to understand and speak Bahasa Indonesia is preferable. 4. Dam Instrumentation Expert A University graduate in civil or water resources or geological engineering with about 12 years experience, posses' strong background of dam engineering and good knowledge and work experience in the design and installation supervision of basic dam safety facilities/instrume maintenance manual of various kind of basic dam safety facilities/dam instruments.
