| DESCRIPTION | |
| The specific objective is to support the government of Lao PDR in implementing the Vientiane declaration and it s country Action Plan and to support the EU development partners active in Lao PDR in the implementation of the EU Code of Conduct on the division of Labour and the preparation and subsequent implementation of an EU Road Map for Aid Effectiveness. To achieve these specific objectives, the position holders will work as facilitators between the Lao Government (MPI) and the development partners to support reflection and encourage/facilitat Experience and Quallifications: Category II expert: • Will act as the Team Leader, • University degree in Economics, political science, international relations or another suitable discipline, • More than 10 years experience of development co-operation, • Ability to demonstrate specific experience of harmonization and co-ordination, • Experience in Lao PDR and/or other South East Asian countries is a strong advantage, • Proficiency in English is necessary, • Excellent writing and editing skills Category III expert: • Advanced degree in Economics, Political science, international relations, or another suitable discipline, • At least 5 years of experience in working in the development co-operation area, with at least some of this experience in the South East Asian region, preferably in Lao PDR, • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the Lao PDR context and/or other South East Asian countries , including the respective aid landscape and existing regional and/or local aid coordination mechanisms, • Excellent communication skills and fluency in speaking and writing English are necessary, • Ability to speak Lao is desirable | |
