- Deploy and maintain the Quality Control plans in the appropriate disciplines, based on the national and international standards.
- Provide technical support to the QC teams in the appropriate disciplines.
Review and revise requirements related to Quality Control, calls for tenders and contracts. - Review the QC documents (inspection and test plans), procedures, records and compliance files of the projects, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Track and monitor application of the Quality Control requirements by the project team and by the partners.
- Ensure that the work done by the suppliers, subcontractors and/or construction teams is performed in accordance with the specified requirements, the QC plans and the national or international standards in effect.
- Ensure that failures in meeting the specified requirements are clearly identified for the projects, and ensure that the non-compliance reports, deficiencies and other exceptions to compliance are addressed.
- Provide training and support of the project local Quality Control teams.
Develop ad hoc training tools for QC personnel on the projects.
Monitor and audit the projects regarding to his/her specialty.
- Degree in Engineering (Depends the discipline).
- 5 to 10 years of experience related to quality control in his/her discipline on relevant projects.
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written (in French too, highly preferable).
- Strong knowledge of fabrication/
construction codes and the main technical standards, both European's (especially BS and EN) and American's. - Recognized code qualification for certain special manufacturing and construction processes, if applicable.
- Prepare the master project schedule and detailed schedules.
- Prepare the package dictionaries (contracts and purchase orders) and ensure follow-up of modifications to the packaging strategy.
- Identify all deviations from the baseline as well as implement corrective actions.
- Perform detail follow-up on the progress of engineering and construction based on the earned value methodology.
- University degree in Engineering and of 5 -10 years of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of studies/experience.
- Experience in carrying out large scale projects in the thermal sector.
- Good knowledge of Primavera P3 planning software.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic, an asset.
- Dynamism, autonomy.
